In times of turbulence and confusion in the marketplace, brokers don't need to have all of the answers; they just need to know more than their competition.
Instead of asking you to travel to an in-person event and in order to keep your cost as low as possible, this year’s boot camp will be presented as a four-hour CE webinar. You will receive classroom CE credit (just like an in-person course) with no test required. Space is limited to just 100 attendees in each webinar, so if you’re interested please RSVP today. The price is just $99, and it's FREE for ComedyCE.com Season Pass Holders.
8:30 am -- 12:30 pm
11:30 am -- 3:30 pm
If you cannot attend one of the two sessions above, we do have a third option July 13th.
This course has been approved for four hours of insurance continuing education credit in the state of Texas (course number 112315, provider number 37719).
The 2018 Health Reform Boot Camp is just $99. You'll earn 4 hours of CE credit and, best of all, you won't even have to leave your office!
ComedyCE.com Season Pass Holders can attend at no charge! What's a season pass?

CE Credits: 4 hours

We'll start with a quick look at all of the big changes (and the impact of those changes) over the past 12 months, including the decision to stop paying the cost-sharing subsidies, the repeal of the individual mandate penalty, the postponement of the Cadillac tax, clarification on QSEHRAs, and regulations regarding short-term plans, association plans, and more.
It's getting harder and harder to help clients who purchase coverage in the individual market, but believe it or not there are still some innovative solutions you can recommend.
Small businesses, especially those with ACA metallic plans, have seen their premiums jump significantly over the past year, and that's causing some to re-think their benefits strategy. The good news is that there are still some great solutions for small employers, and brokers who are able to deliver those solutions will be rewarded with plenty of business in the months ahead.
For large employers, the mandate, employer reporting, and compliance remain big topics. We'll give an update on all three of those topics and discuss some strategies you can recommend to large employers.
It's an election year, and the last thing Republicans in Congress want to do is admit defeat right before the mid-terms. We can expect a number of legislative and regulatory changes this year as the party in power attempts to prove that it's "doing something" about health insurance costs. This means that we can expect another turbulent year, but we'll do our best to prepare you for the upcoming changes and even show you how they may create additional opportunities for brokers who are ready to capitalize on the changes.
A lot of agents think that way, and that's exactly why this is the perfect time for you to learn as much as you can! As the hiker story illustrates, you don't have to have all of the answers, but you do need to know more than your competitors. This class will give you the latest info about the repeal and replace efforts, tell you what you should tell your clients, and help you to capitalize on the opportunities as they present themselves.
Eric Johnson is the lone presenter for the Health Reform Boot Camp. Hopefully that's a good thing... In preparing the presentation, he will consult with industry experts from across the country and borrow the best information from each. He calls it "R&D" -- Robbing and Duplicating.
This course is designed with brokers in mind. While much of the content will also be applicable to employers, we will spend some time talking about the opportunities for insurance agents to grow their business. It might be a better idea to schedule a separate and shorter webinar for your employer clients - just contact Eric if you're interested in that option.
Please note that ComedyCE.com is not set up as an HRCI provider. The course is filed for CE credit for insurance agents in the state of Texas but not for HR managers or for agents outside of Texas.
Right now, we have three sessions scheduled, and we don't anticipate adding any others. Please remember that each webinar is limited to 100 attendees, and we expect ComedyCE.com season pass holders to occupy at least half of those spots. The other seats will go quickly, so if you're interested in attending you should go ahead and sign up today. At this time, we do not plan to offer any in-person sessions.
Yes, attendees will receive copies of the slides in PDF format at the beginning of the presentation.
If you'd like to register multiple attendees, you can pay for several at once and then contact us with their names and email addresses. We can also send you a single invoice that you can pay online or by check if you'd prefer.
This event is limited to 100 attendees per session, and it normally sells out. Don't wait - sign up today.
ComedyCE.com Season Pass Holders can attend at no charge, so if you've been thinking about getting a season pass, now is a great time to do that. What's a season pass?
Note: If you're a ComedyCE.com Season Pass Holder, there is no charge for you to attend, so please do not use the registration options below. Instead, you'll receive a separate email with a link for you to sign up for the session of your choice.

Hi, I'm Eric, the founder of ComedyCE.com and your instructor for the Health Reform Boot Camp. I've worked in the health insurance industry for more than 20 years and have been teaching continuing education classes since 2008. ComedyCE.com was founded just 6 days before the Affordable Care Act was signed into law.
During my insurance career, I've worked for insurance carriers, general agencies, and third party administrators. I'm also an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (and hope you are too).
This will be the fifth time in the past six years I've put together a Health Reform Boot Camp. I know 4 hours sounds like a long class, but I promise there's plenty of material to cover and the time will go by fast. I hope you enjoy the class.
